New Lorex system, can login local but not external ...

https://www.cctvforum.com/topic/37737-new-lorex-system-can-login-local-but-not-external/

Ok its not what you think, I can get access externally to the DVR but always get login failed. Same credentials are fine over local ip, and its not a port issue as I'm accessing the DVR. I called tech support and they said to try port 85 instead of 80, but I cant make sense of this as I have access to the DVR.

https://www.cctvforum.com/topic/19289-trouble-remotely-viewing-using-my-lorex-dvr-l208d251/

My Lorex client software is not like that. That is a newer version. Mine is very basic. I actually downloaded the version you have and no matter what info I put into the setup screen it always tells me connection failed. Guess it doesn't work with my DVR. Unless I'm doing something wrong.
